A different kind of Santa was making his rounds at local elementary schools today.

'Green Santa' made a stop at Heights Elementary and Santo Nino Elementary to pay the kids a visit.

The CW's Green Santa’s mission is to spread the message of environmental awareness.

He read a book called "When Santa Turned Green." It's a story that highlights the negative effects of global warming and ways that we can all help protect the environment.
