It's a day 4.6 billion years in the making. On Wednesday, people across the planet celebrated Mother Earth.

Mayor Raul Salinas proclaimed today April 9, as Earth Day right here in Laredo.

In an effort to provide health and contribute to the green community, Webb County has provided a grant for a couple organizations to build community gardens. Today officials from Webb County, the Laredo Regional Food Bank and the Rio Grande International Study Ccenter, gathered to present the construction of the future gardens.

One of the newest apartment complexes in town receives a very special award this afternoon.

Air pollution comes from factories, businesses, consumer products, and, most of all, from cars, trucks and buses.

It's huge, remote and rugged, harboring massive populations of ducks in Canada's Northwest Territories, and it's an epic adventure of a duck hunt.
