  • Getting regular tune-ups, maintenance, and having clean air filters will help you burn less gas, pollute less, and prevent car trouble down the line. Pump up: if every American’s tires were properly inflated we could save around 2 billion gallons of gas each year! (Check your manual for optimal pressure). Lastly, get the junk out of the trunk! All that extra weight is sapping your fuel economy.
  • Have your Oil Changed Professionally/Dispose of Oil Properly – target Jiffy Lube/Local Auto Mechanic
  • A single quart of motor oil, if disposed of improperly, can contaminate up to 2,000,000 gallons of fresh water
  • Save Water – target local landscaping company/water utility
  • Cut back on the lawn watering.  If your sprinklers are programmed to run 20 min 3X week, set them for 17 minutes instead.  Check your sprinkler for overspray on the sidewalk, driveway and fence, and adjust accordingly.  Most of a household water bill actually goes into the lawn.
