Ducks Unlimited CEO Dale Hall reports from coastal Louisiana on the impacts the Gulf Coast oil spill may have on the people who live, work and pursue recreation along the coast. DU is working toward a restored Gulf Coast, with the help of its partners, led by the new Gulf Coast Response Team.

Everybody is talking about restoring the marshes surrounding Louisiana, but Ducks Unlimited has been working to protect and restore the Louisiana Gulf Coast for more than 25 years, and has no plans of stopping in this most difficult time.

The purpose of Community Green, in its most basic form, is to make positive contributions towards local and community conservation issues. Although we place great emphasis on preserving our local resources, we believe that as a community we must direct our attention to the environmental disaster that is taking place in the Gulf Region of our country due to the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.
