The Funky Junk Art Contest is one of the most creative and fun events Montgomery Clean City Commission sponsors. The contest is an annual citywide competition for artist and imaginative dreamers of all ages. Every student and adult is challenged to create an original work of art composed of used materials and recycled goods.
 
There are categories for kindergarten through adult plus a group category, as well as a new category called "Special Needs" added this year. Over the years there have been entries from individuals from elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and adult levels. There are winners ranging from honorable mention, third place, second place, and first place. And there is one grand prize winner.
 
Submit Artwork by April 2. Judging will take place on April 10-12. Bring in artwork to Max Credit Union for display on the 23rd and display through May 8th. Prize ceremony will take place on May 8th at Max Federal Credit Union. For more information go to the Clean City Commission’s website.
